SUMMER PROGRAMS

Girls in the Game provides sports, health and leadership programs in partnership with schools, parks and community across Chicago. Participants can try a variety of sports like soccer, lacrosse, yoga or volleyball in a friendly, non-competitive environment while also learning about important health and leadership topics like self-advocacy and positive body image. Our programs include after school programs, a summer camp, clinics, one-time programs and teen programs!

Sports & Leadership Summer Camp

"Through Girls in the Game, I learned that when you expose young girls to new ideas, it allows them the opportunity to think for themselves. In doing so, girls gain the courage to act on their own."

The Girls in the Game Sports & Leadership Summer Camp provides a safe, exciting space for girls to get active and learn new leadership skills for four weeks each summer. Daily activities include sports like lacrosse, yoga, dance and basketball, fun guest coaches, learning about health and practicing leadership skills. Other activities include swimming, an end-of-camp talent show, time spent with teen leaders and more.

Where: Moore Park for daily camp activities (5085 W Adams) & Chicago Jesuit Academy for inclement weather

When: July 6 - July 31, Monday-Friday, 9 am - 3 pm

Who: Participants ages 7-13

Returning campers, please note: daily bus transportation will not be provided to and from camp, and participants will need to bring their own lunch each day. As costs continue to rise and the fundraising climate remains challenging, these changes helps us keep camp low-cost and accessible for families and makes it possible for Girls in the Game to continue to provide a 4-week, full-day, meaningful experience for participants.
