We have a variety of exciting, girl-driven programs available for teens during the school year, including city-wide Teen Squad, our site-based Teen Club and our drop-in programming!
Teen Squad engages high school girls from across the city who earn college scholarship money and incentives for their participation in a year of health, sports and leadership workshops. Teens start the school year off with training from Girls in the Game on how to lead healthy-lifestyle workshops for younger girls throughout the year. They also participate in Leader-to-Leader Interviews where they interview working professionals to learn more about their fields of work and choose professional development topics to cover as a team, ranging from professional interviewing skills to goal setting. Other activities include field trips, organizing an end-of-year Day of Play and other fun all-squad activities.
We currently have Teen Squad programs in Chicago, IL and Denton, TX! This is an application-based program as Teen Squad spots are limited; check back in the fall to apply!

After one year of Teen Squad…
Girls in the Game’s Teen Club is a site-based program for teen girls that takes place at high schools, community centers or other facilities. Teen Club includes a 10-week girl-driven season with the goal to empower teen girls through leadership development. Coaches train teens on Girls in the Game’s coaching best practices so they can practice these skills by leading their peers or younger girls through a sports, health and leadership workshop.
Girls also participate in Leader-to-Leader interviews and learn about additional topics of their choice in order to deepen their understanding of the leadership and health skills most important to them.
We are currently in several sites in Chicago, Baltimore and North Texas.
Drop-In programming is available in Chicago, Baltimore and North Texas.
