Flag football, frisbee and emotional health, oh my! This fall, the power of girls could be seen in gyms, cafeterias, and school playgrounds all across the city of Chicago.

Game Days are the perfect opportunity for girls and school communities to get a one-time, high-energy glimpse into what Girls in the Game is all about.

This year, our Game Day season kicked off with an all-outdoor fall Game Day at Apollo Elementary in Des Plaines, IL thanks to generous funding from AIT Worldwide Logistics. We played Ultimate Frisbee and even held our own Track & Field events!

Our biggest Game Day of the Fall Season was at Randolph Elementary where we worked with about 80 girls in grades 2nd-8th and even had a guest appearance from our Teen Squad coaches.

The best news is that two of our Game Day sites, DuBois and Reavis, had so much fun at the events that they signed-up to provide After School programming for their girls during the upcoming Winter Season. We are so excited to teach girls health, nutrition and leadership in these communities.

In the new year, we will continue to provide Game Days to schools throughout the city of Chicago, and work to build partnerships in communities that we hope last for years to come.
