 Girls in the Game campers had an awesome day on July 23, 2012 when 11 volunteers from Crowe Horwath visited the Sports and Leadership Summer Camp at Union Park. The volunteers participated in sports activities and a health and leadership workshop with the campers. The girls were so excited to spend time with and learn from the great volunteers from Crowe Horwath! During soccer, the girls and volunteers practiced their passing technique and then scrimmaged. They also played Ultimate Frisbee together. The theme of the day’s health and leadership workshop was “goal setting.” The volunteers helped the girls learn the importance of working hard to achieve desired results, a skill they can use as they grow older. Thank you to Crowe Horwath for coming to camp and helping to give so many girls a fantastic summer. |
