News >Chicago Sky Fitness Festival a Major Success
On July 23, Girls in the Game partnered with United Healthcare, Chicago Sky, Skycares, and CDW to bring the Chicago Sky Fitness Festival to Allstate Arena. Girls from all over Chicagoland played sports, from soccer and golf to martial arts and hockey. Representatives from Chicago women’s athletic teams including the Chicago Bandits softball, Chicago Red Stars soccer, and Chicago Force football teams taught participants the basics of their respective sports. After the girls visited the sports stations, they attended a Chicago Sky basketball game. The festival provided an unforgettable opportunity for girls to witness firsthand the power and poise of professional female athletes and the motivating message of what can be accomplished through dedication, determination, and discipline. |
