July 14th, 2008, Nike Factory Store donated 5% of their proceeds from the afternoon's sales to Girls in the Game and donated t-shirts to all of our participating girls, and hosted Candice Dupree for an interactive Q&A session--which she handed out many prizes and autographed postcards for the girls.

On July 14th, 2008, Author Sara Paretsky, visited our 120 girls at Summer Camp. Sara grew up in rural Kansas but now lives in Chicago where she earned her MBA at the University of Chicago. She continues to believe the high point of her life came at the age of twelve when she was picked to play third base for the Kaw Valley District 95 baseball team. Girls in the Game would like to thank Sara and Two C-Dogs Foundation for the many years of continued support!
