Payroll Deductions
You and your co-workers can now donate through United Way and Community Shares! Just write in Girls in the Game as your charity of choice.
Payroll deductions are another easy way to contribute to Girls in the Game through your employer. When you sign up for payroll deductions, you agree to have a pre-determined dollar amount deducted monthly from your paycheck and earmarked for Girls in the Game. Employers are responsible for sending the check to our office. Your full name and address should be included on the check that is mailed to us. Keep in mind that every employer has its own schedule and procedure for mailing these checks. Contact your employer's Human Resource department today to find out if they have a payroll deduction program and if they don’t, suggest that they start one! Matching Gifts Many companies have programs through which they will match the charitable contributions made by their employees. Through corporate gift matching, your employer can multiply your gift to Girls in the Game, making it go further. Check with your company's Human Resources office to see if they match charitable gifts. If they don't, you may want to ask your company to start a program. If your employer does offer this program, your Human Resources department should provide you with a matching gift form to send to Girls in the Game, along with your donation. Complete this form and mail it with your donation to: Girls in the Game Development Department Union Park Fieldhouse 1501 W. Randolph St. Chicago, IL 60607 You can also check online to see if your company is listed as a matching gift workplace, here. This list is not necessarily comprehensive, so please be sure to check with your HR department as well! |
