After School
Girls in the Game After School includes Elementary programs for girls grades 3-5, and Middle School programs for girls grades 6-8. Our programs are flexible enough to run before, during and after school. The program also includes field trips and family days, allowing girls to share what they’ve learned and to experience the city outside of their neighborhoods. Highlights of our After School programs include:
- Easy-to-manage: Programs are completely staffed by trained Girls in the Game coaches and volunteers. Equipment is provided along with a structured curriculum that includes activities for each day. We also include the cost of field trips and transportation.
- Whole Girl: Healthy lifestyles, bullying, teambuilding, healthy body image, and peer pressure are among the topics covered. We’ve seen firsthand how addressing these topics in groups reduces conflict between girls during school hours.
- Non-competitive: Girls in the Game provides a safe environment for girls to learn and play while also building a sense of community among girls who may otherwise not get along.
