Community Service

In the spring, girls use what they’ve learned to design and complete a community service project in their neighborhood. Examples include a school health and fitness mural or a canned food drive for a local shelter.

Union Park

As the most intensive program site, Union Park provides programming three days per week, for four hours per day. Daily programming includes:
  • Homework help and tutoring
  • Fitness activities
  • Health education workshops
  • Leadership development opportunities
  • A healthy after-school snack and a nutritious meal
At Union Park, girls have the opportunity to participate in physical activities similar to our other After School programs, but the longer program hours allow for even more time to practice putting their new skills into action. Girls not only learn the basics of sports, but they use their team building skills to take the competition to the next level while learning how to stay healthy both on and off the field.
